Helpdesk/IT Support Technician – Seattle, WA
Kelly Services is looking for an IT Services Technician to support our Healthcare clients innovative research programs and mission.
Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems.
Oversee the daily performance of computer systems to ensure they run at optimum efficiency.
Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
AA in information systems OR 3+ years of experience in an information systems job role.
Excellent computer skills on a variety hardware and software products.
Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality, and accuracy.
Thorough knowledge of hardware and software pertaining to the handling, logging, inventory of computer equipment and software.
Ensure that all job responsibilities are performed and documented accurately, timely, and in compliance with standards.
Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills. Flexibility in performing multiple tasks.
Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to maintain comprehensible and accurate records.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to motivate self.
Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail and in an organized manner.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to work with co-workers and outside agencies professionally and tactfully.
