Part time telework.Compensation: dependent on experience + vehiclePurpose of position:The development and supervision of competently delivered Social Services with targeted problem solving, continuous quality improvement, and sustainable innovative responses to challenges and needs consistent with mission.Qualifications: Physical:Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basisAbility to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers and reach overheadAbility to operate a telephone and fax machineAbility to operate a desktop or laptop computerAbility to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)Ability to access and produce information from a computerAbility to understand written informationAbility to communicate clearly both verbally and in writingAbility to drive TSA vehicle throughout the Division.Technical skills:Proficiency in Windows 95 and higher as implementedAbility to produce written documents with minimal clerical assistance.Ability to read and understand written documents and contractsProfessional skills:Ability to independently plan and implement daily activitiesAbility to work well in team setting with other professionalsAwareness of current social services issues and responsesAbility to negotiate within and without The Salvation ArmyAbility to think creatively and strategically.Ability to articulate, defend and give leadership in the context of The Salvation Army's values and missionEducation/ Experience:Minimum of MSW or comparable master's level preparationAt least 7 years' experience in developing and delivering social services, at least 3 of which were at administrative level.At least 3 years' experience with The Salvation Army's delivery of social services.Working background in community development with collaboration component essential.Definition of Responsibilities:To consult with and advise corps officers, program and institution directors, and DHQ staff on matters pertaining to social service ministry, giving emphasis to appropriate and effective delivery of service.To track, participate and implement appropriate responses to social services issues.To evaluate social service program operations, use of personnel, facilities and resources.To participate in strategic problem-solving approaches as the social services representative, which will include analysis of current information, gathering of additional information, preparing written documentation for other team members as appropriate, and participating in goal settings sessions with the unit/corps and DHQ representatives.To identify and implement as appropriate research-based responses (such as United Way evaluations, b
