Job Summary

The Director of Strategic Operations will report to the VP of Strategy and Analytics. This position will oversee the strategy and operations for a technology client and work closely with the VP, Experience Strategy team, Master Planning, Operations, and stakeholders inside Compass, its sectors, and its clients to drive analytics and collaborate on strategic initiatives, from inception to implementation. The ideal candidate is a strategic professional who can apply deep strategy skills to identify, shape, deliver value to clients, and enable bold decisions on priority client issues. This individual will provide deep understanding of clients’ industry landscape, functional disciplines, and business options in the context of global, economic, technology, social, and experiential trends. The role will take an active role in leading the development, providing thought leadership, and communicating strategies identified for clients. In addition to collaborating with client leaders and teams, the Director will lead, coach, and guide members of the team and organization.


  • Oversee campus operations and implement scalable process and procedure to support the program

  • Promote the use of data and analytics to address business issues, including scoping projects, storytelling to executives, brainstorming data-driven solutions, and incorporating structured and analytical thinking into business decisions

  • Identify, assess, and lead operational teams to solve complex business problems related to client business, experiential, and operational challenges

  • Provide innovative solutions and strategies for addressing client business, experiential, and operational challenges

  • Drive accountability on KPIs to assess performance, operational effectiveness, and ROI of strategic projects

  • Identify areas to drive process and procedure with a relentless effort to improve documentation and scalability

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for internal and client review

  • Oversee operations proposals and strategically advise the client on operator selection

  • Determine objectives and approaches for projects as well as influencing decisions on significant project matters

  • Lead and coordinate projects/programs with cross-functional stakeholders including Artificial Intelligence, Consumer Insights, Design & Construction, Operations, Partner Strategy, Client Stakeholders, Client Executives, and Internal Executives

  • Lead engagement with client senior management and/or within E15/Levy/Compass including VP, SVP and C-Suite

  • Proactively communicate project approach, details, insights, and achieve buy-in on findings across all levels of the organization and across multiple departments in a clear and concise manner

  • Acquire an intimate knowledge of clients’ strategies and competitive positioning

  • Contribute to internal organizational development and progresses E15/Levy/Compass value proposition

  • Leverage a complete understanding of E15/Levy/Compass’s business lines and competitive factors

  • Develop strong working relationships with all contributors to the process, including internal departments and external stakeholders through facilitated work sessions, design charrettes and other inspired collaborations to meet project goals


  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in strategy development, operations, or project management

  • Managing and leading project teams and larger programs from idea to implementation

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field

  • Proficiency in financial modeling

  • Proven ability to define, shape, and own client strategies

  • Proven ability to execute independently and manage multiple resources

  • Excellent business analytical capabilities to solve complex client issues

  • Proven ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience using data visualization tools and Microsoft Office/Project

  • Ability to own and maintain stakeholder relationships (at all levels)

  • High-level comfort with ambiguity, independence, tenacity, willingness to take on any task

  • High degree of comfort with C-level communication and problem solving
