YouthCare Director of Integrated Workforce Development Strategy in SEATTLE, Washington

Several of our programs are national models, and we are a leader locally and across the country in serving runaway young people andyoung people experiencing homelessness, as well as young people who have experience sexual exploitation.POSITION SUMMARY:TheDirector of Integrated Workforce Development Strategyprovides strategic, agency-wide leadership, oversight, and direction for the development and delivery of a world-class workforce education, training and services program for youth and young adults enrolled in YouthCare’s Workforce Development and Education Advancement Programs for young people ages 16 – 24 years. The incumbent will help situate YouthCare as a forerunner within the region's youth economic and workforce development system. This position will highlight critical strategies and best practices, including identifying additional funding resources, policy, and advocacy opportunities to support YouthCare and the Homelessness Services Provider Network's efforts to develop and implement workforce development programs for young people in their communities. TheDirector of Integrated Workforce Development Strategy focuses on our local and statewide Workforce Development System, by building strong partnerships with education institutions, business, and labor industries to develop pathways to economic sustainability for young people impacted by homelessness and housing instability. The incumbentwill demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness to identify and secure the necessary internal and external resources to ensure efficient and effective execution of YouthCare’s Workforce Development initiatives.TheDirector of Integrated Workforce Development Strategy will work cross-functionally at YouthCare to ensure youth career pathways integrate academics, training, work experience, and wraparound support services that provide an accelerated path to credentials or diplomas in demand in the local labor market. In addition, the incumbent will work closely with the Director of Training and the Director of Program Quality and Improvement to ensure the professional development of staff correlates with, enhances, and leads to better practices with youth while improving overall program quality and increasing positive youth outcomes.This position will work collaboratively with the Director of Strategic Program Partnerships and Integration and the Director of Outreach and Engagement to oversee the development and sustainability of workforce development and education programming at the YouthCare Academy, Orion Center, the new site to be established at the Seattle City Light Substation location, and any future sites focused on workforce development training and education advancement. The incumbent will oversee a growing team of fifteen education and employment services te
