CVS Health Data Analyst in Scottsdale, Arizona

Job Description

This position is primarily reponsible for reviewing and validating drug data received from external vendors and used in support of prescription claims processing. Various data is received at various intervals (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly) from multiple vendors. Thorough analysis of the data is performed on a daily basis for purposes of validating its accuracy. As issues are identified, the individual in this position is responsible for investigating further and leading efforts toward resolution. Issue resolution often times requires working collaboratively with internal business partners or directly with the applicable data vendor. Additional responsibilities include managing certain proprietary drug data processes and serving as drug data subject matter expert in support of drug data related projects and client/regulatory audits.

Required Qualifications

4 years PBM or related Healthcare experience. 2+ years data analysis experience. Microsoft applications proficiency. Skills in integrated data research, problem solving. Project participation, research/resolution experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient use of PBM data tables relevant to drugs and price. QC validation principles. . Understand Caremark PBM business model and industry price models. Drug File tables and SAP application proficiency.


College degree or demonstrated work experience in line with requisite job responsibilities is required. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is preferred.
