The Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking an experienced Logistics Management Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals for a position in the Joint Distribution Process Analysis Center (JDPAC) at USTRANSCOM which has the mission to provide analysis and engineering support to improve the nation's ability to move and sustain our forces throughout the globe. In this role, you will work on the Metrics Analysis team to provide process analysis support to sustainment distribution. As the qualified candidate, you will assist the USTRANSCOM Metrics team analysts in conducting analysis of the sustainment distribution network.
This position is located at Scott Air Force Base, IL.
Role & Responsibilities:
Apply logistics and supply chain knowledge to support the analysis and assessment of global and regional distribution processes using standard enterprise metrics and applicable commercial practices for qualitative and quantitative measurement.
Requires familiarity with Department of Defense and USTRANSCOM supply chain processes and the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of enterprise stakeholders.
Must have the ability to lead or contribute to distribution related projects and studies leveraging inputs from a wide variety of functional areas and data sources.
Possess the knowledge of relevant transportation data from a broad range of sources for conducting analytic activities, and producing decision-support products. Position requires a balance of functional and analytic skills, and positive people skills for working in a team environment.
Analyst will utilize Microsoft Office Suite to produce results and reports for various levels of leadership.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Supply Chain, Operations Management or other related field with a minimum of 5 years of supply chain or logistics experience. (5 years of additional experience and supply chain certifications will be considered in lieu of degree.)
Must enjoy working in a team environment with frequent customer contact and have demonstrated excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Applicant must have demonstrated skills in solving problems, troubleshooting, and responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction, as well as proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
U.S. Citizenship and a DoD Interim Secret Clearance required to start.
Experience with USTRANSCOM or military logistics.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
