  • Leads engineering specialists (e.g. Model-Based System Engineers and Architects, Data Scientists, Enterprise Information Technology Engineers) and works with representatives of MDA organizations in the M&S Community to facilitate and coordinate Enterprise M&S programs, projects, and tasks.

  • The position provides implementation leadership for planning, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling system-of-systems M&S initiatives and programs.


  • Bachelor's degree in related technical field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of related professional experience

  • An interim Secret clearance is required

  • Experience with DoD acquisition and budgeting processes and procedures

  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office products to communicate technical and programmatic information

Preferred/Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated understanding of systems engineering, software engineering, hardware/software integration, and data engineering disciplines across the system life-cycle (i.e. requirements, design, development, test, and deployment)

  • Demonstrated understanding of project management disciplines (i.e. scheduling, requirements management, risk management, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and reporting)

  • Ability to think critically (i.e. research, understand, analyze, synthesize, and critique), creating solutions to new and one-of-a-kind program challenges and issues as they arise

  • Ability to propose and execute technical project plans and solutions which align with customer strategic goals-proposing courses of action based on overarching leadership goals and objectives​

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and produce and present clear, concise, well-organized, and audience-relevant presentations and documents

  • Ability to create a positive, collaborative working relationship with representatives and stakeholders from external organizations

  • Ability to negotiate best technical and program solutions within environmental and leadership constraints

  • Conscientious, agreeable, and open-minded individual who can lead teams to creatively meet program challenges, drive groups to create solutions, and orchestrate response actions ​

  • Experience managing software intensive systems and system-of-systems

  • Experience working in the Missile Defense Agency or the Missile Defense mission domain and M&S

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and tools, such as IBM Rhapsody

  • Defense acquisition professional, or equivalent, training and certification

  • Engineering management or project management education at the masters level

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
