EMEA Regional Crisis Management and Asset Security Lead

Position Purpose & Summary

The EMEA Regional Crisis Management and Asset Security Lead will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of a crisis management program and instrumental in the asset security planning and standards for the region.

This role will lead the strategy for the EMEA region and will interact with business and function leadership throughout the region.

This role will methodically understand the regional risks and the associated assets throughout the region. They will develop deep knowledge into the asset base and the criticalness of each. They will understand the facilities, the products, the people, the suppliers and customers and how they correlate to each other.

This role will also lead the EMEA region for site security assessments and provide guidance at a local facility level on security requirements and recommendations. They will work directly with site leadership to help identify risks and then create mitigation strategies to address those risks and reduce them to an acceptable level.

The crisis management program will pragmatically develop standards and templates for local sites, businesses, country leadership and corporate members. This program will evolve from development to implementation and maintenance. The program will need to continuously improve and change to match the pace of change within the businesses. This role will lead tabletop exercises for leadership as well as local sites.

This role will also develop, lead and manage the proactive security programs in partnership with other functions, such as security guard program, workplace violence training, personal safety, regulatory inspections for physical security for things proactive increase security awareness and training.

The program development and strategy are a self-led and managed role. This person must be self-motivated and needs to identify the requirements of the program as it correlates to the global strategy.

This role will be exposed to outdoor conditions and sometimes difficult locations. The working conditions will vary from office to plant and will include some nighttime assessments for lighting.

This role will travel as needed 25%-30% of the time

Principal Accountabilities

60% Working with the Businesses and Developing Risk assessments, security assessments, security plans and crisis management plans

20% Conducts site security assessments and site consultations based on specific risk and threat assessment guidance

10% Developing, conducting and teaching crisis management tabletop exercises to businesses and functions

10% Develops facility physical security plans and security operation guidance for existing and new sites based on risk assessments or consultations


Required Qualifications

  • 4 yr. degree in criminal justice, security or in an emergency management program

  • 15 years working in security supporting asset security or crisis management programs

  • 10 years conducting risk-based security assessment for physical security

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified in physical security such as PSP designation from ASIS

  • Master’s degree in emergency management or other related discipline

  • 10 years in managing crisis management

  • Additional skills in leadership, security, analysis, or other relevant certifications

  • Developing robust physical security programs for facilities

  • Providing outstanding customer service

  • Project management experience and skills

  • Managing performance and proactively resolving issues

  • Developing good report and trust with all security staff
