Job Description

JOB TITLE: Crusher Plant Maintenance


DIVISION: Aggregates DATE PREPARED: May 2009

SUPERVISOR: Aggregates Manager REVISED: July 2015


SUMMARY:

Performs various duties around the facility which include mechanical maintenance, general labor, equipment operation, and welding.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

  • Must have the ability to interpret and apply verbal and/or written instructions in English.

  • Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate machine controls.

  • Experience in machinery maintenance, repair and equipment operation preferred, but employer will train.

  • RK Hall, LLC conducts post-conditional offer background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Repairs and maintains crusher machinery.

  • Troubleshoots and communicates problems with equipment.

  • Assists with machine maintenance and repairs. Unplugs and shovels off conveyors and screens. Changes out screens, rollers, cone liners, etc. Repairs conveyor problems. Greases moving machine parts.

  • Performs crusher machinery set up and take down which includes running cables and hoses, setting up blocks, tarping, shoveling aggregate, etc.

    NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • May perform other duties as required.

  • Demonstrates good performance, safety and attendance.

  • Demonstrates proper lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling techniques.

  • Demonstrates a willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays.

  • Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors and other employees.

  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, without direct supervision. Provides guidance, leadership, and training to other employees.

  • Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.

  • Demonstrates the ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.

  • Demonstrates the willingness to learn and work a variety of job tasks.

  • Demonstrates the ability to complete timecards correctly.

    PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

    Individuals wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as required by OSHA and/or MSHA and company policy. Protective equipment that may be required for this position includes, but is not limited to: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, High Visibility Safety Apparel, Fall Protection, Gloves, Welding Gloves, Hearing Protection, Padlocks for Lockout/Tagout, Respiratory Protection, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, Welding Aprons, Welding Helmet, Welding Shield, occasional use of Heat Resistant Apparel.
