Position Summary

Our Drafting Paralegal or Drafting Attorney provides expert-level support to the Trusts and Estates section attorneys and/or senior paralegal(s) in all aspects of estate and trust administration within established administrative procedures while ensuring exceptional client service and satisfaction are achieved in all areas of the position. A high degree of efficiency and accuracy is required to draft documents within HotDocs. Must maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality in all client and Firm matters. The scope of responsibilities includes prioritizing, managing and following through on multiple matters; and communicating effectively, courteously, and professionally with clients, attorneys, and staff.

Successful candidates must exhibit the ability to learn, adapt, and grow with minimal oversight and instruction. They must be able to multitask, be flexible in order to meet deadlines, and handle last-minute requests. A high level of organization, ability to be proactive, and a desire to achieve results is essential. The individual should be comfortable working with a variety of personalities, while maintaining a professional attitude at all times. Lastly, the individual should desire to learn new skills and to expand their position skills over time.

  • Technology skillset should include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF, and HotDocs or similar document production software; proficiency with search engine navigation systems such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or Accurint; and experience with time and billing software systems.

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field desirable; Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field, or J.D. preferred.

  • Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP), Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) or Juris Doctorate (JD).

  • Minimum 5+ years of recent related work experience.
