PayPal Software Engineer 3 in Sao Paulo, Brazil

At Simility, we’re helping companies prevent fraud and abuse with machine learning, big data analytics and data visualization capabilities. Simility levels the playing field against even the most sophisticated fraud ring by enabling analysts to create and configure detection mechanisms without having to write one line of code. Role Simility’s integration engineers are integration experts who excel at not only understanding the customer environment, but also are creative technologists who know how to ensure a seamless integration of Simility with the customer’s existing components. They continuously build upon and apply their technical knowledge and skills at every level. The successful integration engineer will exhibit and build upon the deep expertise to ensure that they can not only help customers but also learn from their needs and behaviors. Integration engineers also spend their time working on projects that affect many parts of the organization, including automating processes, coding custom tools, contributing bug fixes to various products, advocating for features with the product team, and managing instances that are vital to the success of Simility.

Responsibilities :

  1. Become a fraud prevention solution expert

  2. Collaborate with the deployment teams as well as the product development teams to ensure a smooth and customer friendly product design and integration

  3. Diagnose and resolve issues encountered during product integration

  4. Provide education and guidance on configuring and working with Simility’s products to prevent problems before they occur

  5. Contribute to the end-to-end quality of the product by verifying fixes and advocating for improvements

  6. Coordinate and manage customer contact for critical product integrations

  7. Ensure the success of our product by keeping Simility integrations up and running across the globe Requirements. Minimum 5 years of experience in working in similar profile.

  8. Sound knowledge of Linux, containers and deployment methodologies

  9. Hands on experience with GCE or AWS services (EC2, RDS, Elasticache, Route53 and others)

  10. Experience as DevOps is nice to have

  11. Experience in coding with Java and/or Python is a big plus

  12. Experience with Big data technologies such as Cassandra, Spark, and Kafka is a plus

  13. Ensuring thorough follow up of customer commitments

  14. Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with dynamic objectives

  15. Ability to think creatively and define product and customer needs

  16. Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision

  17. Excellent teamwork and written/verbal communication skills

Qualifications :

  1. Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience

  2. Top notch problem solving skills and ability to break down complex concepts

  3. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

  4. Languages – English, Portuguese
