Sutter Health Sonographer in Santa Rosa, California
Position Overview:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and providing ultrasound guidance and assistance during diagnostic procedures.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
Bachelor's Preferred
Licensures and Certifications:
American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - ARDMS required
Basic Life Support Certification - HealthCare Provider - BLS HCP required
Skills and Knowledge:
Maintains current level of knowledge in obstetrical ultrasound by reading journal articles, by attending lectures, seminars and conferences
Completes 30 continuing education units every 3 years to maintain current ARDMS status
Displays excellent interpersonal skills by interacting compassionately with clients with abnormal ultrasounds
