Aerotek Mechanical Design Engineer in Santa Barbara, California

Top-Tier Space company is looking for Mechanical Design Engineers to join their team in Santa Barbara! Ideal candidates will have experience in mechanical design using Creo within the aerospace/defense industry.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Astronautical, or Aerospace) and 2 years of applicable experience.

  • Experience and proficiency with computer aided design (CAD) software, Pro E / PTCCreo

  • Ability to work independently

  • Aerospace/Space Industry Experience

  • Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance

Job Description:

  • Develop and analyze structures and mechanical joints for moving mechanical assemblies such as solar arrays, booms, and other support structures and mechanisms for satellite subsystems.

  • Develop, refine, and validate deployable systems, subsystems, and components utilizing broad analytical skills, such as hand calculations and finite element analyses, or other modeling tools as needed
