Eaton Corporation Sr. Quality Engineer in San Luis Potosi, Mexico
Eaton’s Truck division is currently seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our San Luis Potosi facility.
The Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for monitors and improves a quality system in the manufacturing process. Supports other process engineers and supervisors on the tools and techniques of quality improvement. These will include problem solving techniques, Six Sigma, ISO/TS16949, and process improvement techniques like Kaizen principles

Some activities related with the position will be:
Develop process control plans & review data collection methods & applicability of data to operator control; assist in the development & implementation of Dynamic Control Plan (DCP)
Assist with the implementation of quality systems (EQMS, IATF TS-16949)
Assist in the development of PFMEA’s and PPAP’s
Participate in & lead structured team problem solving & apply statistical & other problem solving tools
Direct & conduct process potential studies & sample layout of new or revised processes
Interact with & assist customers on quality related issues, report root cause & corrective actions back to customer support engineer; conduct customer visits if needed
Assist in the preparation of customer required reporting
Actively participate in manufacturing & process improvement teams as the voice of the customer
Participate as a member of APQP teams to bring product to market
Assist in the development & presentation of cost of quality measurements
Assist in identifying & coordinating quality related training programs
Perform additional functions as required
Leads SPC through the plant
Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering (Quality, Statistics, preferred)
3 years experience applying quality tools in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred
English – language capability, speaking, reading and writing required.
Certificate Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus
Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt would be a plus
Strong statistics and problem solving technics
Strong communication skills
Thorough knowledge of statistics & statistical process control, including gauge repeatability & reproducibility studies
Knowledge of metrology, including CMM application & programming preferred
Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerance (GD&T) principles
Strong knowledge of AIAG and IATF 16949 ISO 9001 standards
Proficiency in problem solving & quality techniques including:
SPC
PFMEA
PPAP
8-D problem solving
APQP
MSA
Capability Analysis
Problem Solving
Ability to communicate in the English language (80%)
