Eaton Corporation HT Production Coordinator in San Luis Potosi, Mexico
Eaton’s Truck division is currently seeking a HT Production Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our San Luis Potosi facility.
The HT Production Coordinator is responsible for lead, facilitate and coordinate production activities and resources according to established practices and or policies within their job area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Some activities related with the position will be:
Prepare report daily production status.
Coordinate, leverage, and utilize appropriately resources to resolve manufacturing problems, improve processes and meet external and internal customer demands.
Provide and implement training that will enable personnel to better perform.
Coordinate and administer employees: attendance, punctuality, overtime, vacations, and permissions. .
Act as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business Systems (EBS) processes and problem solving tools such as ELS (Eaton Lean System) and 5s.
Maintain and report accurate inventory numbers while continually seeking ways to reduce work in progress (WIP) inventory levels and maximizing product flow while identifying and implementing cost out opportunities.
Participate in setting, communicating and achieving department goals and objectives and develop and maintain performance metrics as required to monitor results and use those results as a tool to identify and initiate process improvements within own work area. Coordinate and/or participate in continuous improvement teams in own or other areas to enhance plant results.
Coordinate with Human Resources in the selection, promotion, counseling and termination of employees using Eaton guidelines and policies.
Monitor machinery, equipment and facility and initiate maintenance work orders as required, to ensure efficient, effective and safe working conditions.
Participate in safety coaching. Provide EHS training (100% completion). Complete assigned EHS inspections. Respond to department EHS concerns. Enforce the rules. Include Safety topics in department meetings.
Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
Promotes the company’s mission by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Metallurgical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree or related fields required.
A Minimum of 5-year experience combined between formal metallurgical education and heat treat experience is required.
Knowledge in Heat Treat Operations such as carburizing, quenching, tempering and metallurgical characteristics analysis.
English – language at conversational level required.
Experience on people supervising.
Broad technical knowledge in the areas of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, plant engineering, production/materials planning, maintenance needs and systems application.
Basic knowledge of national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies such as ISO 14001, MESH and/or applicable regional initiatives.
Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels.
Strong leadership skills must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement.
