Description
Job Description:
Define and implement a wide range of FPGA test solutions for the next generation FPGA SOC families. Work independently with Design teams and vendors on design-for-test features, test methodologies, and pre-silicon test validation. Work across departments to develop test generation automation, embedded firmware and lab and ATE hardware to ensure fast silicon bring-up cycle time, test coverage and product cost goals. Support transfer of new products testing to Operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with design engineers to define DFT (Design-For-Test) features, test methodology and test coverage requirements to effectively screen manufacturing defects and ensure performance for next generation FPGA SOC devices
Help develop custom test generation software tools to increase productivity and ensure quality of custom test methodologies and ATE test flows
Plan, generate, simulate, and validate test methodologies, test firmware and fault coverage pre-silicon
Plan, generate, debug, and release ATE test flows and hardware for initial silicon bring up and rollout
Support initial silicon bring-up through debug and roll-out of calibration and manufacturing defect screening test flows
Transfer new product test plans, test flows and hardware to Operations teams
Drive continuous innovation in test development, rollout, product quality and cost
Execute independent cross department technical projects; train and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
BSEE / BSCS or equivalent. MSEE / MSCS preferred
10 years related experience in test development and New Product Introduction, preferably with complex SOC devices
Independent technical project execution across departments with good communication skills
In-depth knowledge of CMOS digital or analog circuit operation and characteristics
Manufacturing test methods of one or more: embedded processors, large complex ASIC subsystems, FPGA logic fabric, multi-port memories, SerDes or DDR, PLLs & DLLs, PVT sensors, or circuit trimming
Capable of programming in C/C++, JAVA, or similar language; embedded software/firmware skills is a plus
Capable of operating ATE, bench equipment, DVM, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc. in a lab and production environment
