What You'll Do
Supply Chain Operations is Cisco’s global organization responsible for accelerating innovation, enabling profitable growth and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Our focus is on new product introduction, product lifecycle management, sourcing and supplier management, planning, manufacturing, logistics and quality.
The Executive Operations group in Cisco’s Supply Chain Operations organization is chartered with building and delivering the external and internal communications for the company’s top supply chain executive as an ambassador of Cisco’s brand.
In this role you will:
Develop communications strategy and communications roadmap
Ensure plan delivers the desired outcome and meets SVP’s goals for Supply Chain’s platform and brand visibility, while meeting budget and timing goals
Refine and evolve executive content platform and supporting deliverables, including key messages, themes, speech content, and talking points for internal and external events and forums with a focus on Cisco’s transformation and the role Supply Chain plays in enabling Cisco's success, heightened during shifting supply chain industry challenges
Investigate, screen and recommend effective opportunities for the SVP to increase visibility worldwide and reinforce Supply Chain’s image
Develop and implement social media strategy in line with the SVP’s platform and personal style
Develop and expand internal vehicles for executive visibility, including all-employee meetings, written and video blogs, employee chats, etc.
Build a strong partnership with the SVP to help achieve communication goals and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
Collaborate with Cisco's investor relations, PR, employee communications, sales, event and graphic design teams, to deliver results and ensure alignment of messages across businesses
Review production of final results to ensure creativity, consistency, and quality
Ensure all materials produced are of a consistent and uniform professional quality in accordance with Cisco standards
Conduct analysis of measurement/results of implementing the communications plans and deliverables. Make recommendations and modifications to plans according to results and feedback. Preview results quarterly with the Dir, Executive Ops and SVP

Who You Are
We are seeking a top-tier communications professional who is comfortable with the entire communication process from communication platform development through execution and executive counsel. This individual will build and implement essential communication plans for the SVP of Supply Chain Operations. Communication deliverables may include messaging and positioning documents, content development and support for high-profile executive speaking opportunities and events, internal organizational/functional presentations, all-hands and employee meetings and forums, social media presence, and strategy/content for media interviews.
Our Minimum Requirements for This Role
BA/BS in communications, public relations, marketing or related field. Advanced degree preferred
Minimum ten years’ experience in public relations, executive communications or related field. Some corporate experience is crucial
Demonstrated ability to partner with executives and produce effective communications that meet or exceed goals within tight timelines
Experience or general familiarity with supply chain as an operational center of excellence and knowledge of the global trends impacting the industry and shaping the communication platform
Flexible personality and work style that can adjust to different executive styles and expectations
A solid track record of developing message platforms and implementing communications initiatives that require executive and corporate visibility
Excellent writing, editing, speech/presentation development skills as demonstrated through examples of previous work
Corporate/financial, legal and IT PR experience, investor relations experience and social media skills highly preferred
Ability to manage programs from concept to completion flawlessly, working with internal teams and on occasion agency teams
Ability to work with worldwide colleagues across organizational and cultural boundaries in support of communications goals to ensure implementation of global messaging and programs
