IBM OpenSource Lead Architect-Modernization to OpenShift in San Jose, California
As an IBM Cloud Lead Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As the OpenSource Tech Lead and Lead Architect, you will be responsible for defining, building and deploying differentiated offering assets and reference implementations to accelerate modernization of applications running on various Open Source Middleware and Database technologies, to containers. You are a thought leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders. Deep hands-on architect experience with Open Source middleware and databases technology and strategy for modernization and cloud native transformation.
Design architecture solution for OpenSource Middleware and database modernization into container platform through modular design
Design and create assets, tools, methodology, offerings, provide technical guidance for global Competency and help build the required skills
Support campaign definition and Go-to-Market execution
Advise on Cloud Container replatform, refactor and re-architecture Modernization Architecture
Known as recognized Thought Leader, with proven track record driving pattern identification and estimation of the OpenSource middleware and Database workloads, migrated & modernized to the target Cloud environment
Acts as a Trusted advisor for the client by listening to their pain points.
Engages team to co-create and design Modernization strategy and identifying the need for containerization, API, microservices creation or other forms of Modernization
Interfaces with client executive(s) to clarify technical program status in a clear and concise manner
Simplifies the solution approach by adopting a continuous modernization method
Promotes innovation across the solution and delivery phases by leading the Design thinking workshops and leveraging Agile methodologies
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
10+ years of project experience in OpenSource middleware, database & Cloud technologies
3+ years of experience producing architectures, providing architectural guidance on OpenSource middleware & App cloud modernization projects in a leadership role
Hands-on experience in applications integration using Open-Source & middleware such as Tomcat, JBoss, Open Liberty MySQL or PostgreSQL
Deep hands-on experience Opensource technology- Springboot, MEAN, React Native, GoLang, Flutter, Python, Kafka, Spark, Ruby on Rails or Couchbase
Hands on experience on opensource IDEs such as - Eclipse, Visual Code, Intellije IDEA
Experience coding in Java, JEE/J2EE, Spring and/or Spring Boot
Experience w/containerization & container mgmt
Experience in OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud, Foundry or container security
Experience w/cloud relevant application architectures such as microservices & full-stack development
Experience in DevSecOps, Multi-cloud Management
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Certified Cloud Architect for one cloud provider: AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud
·Experience in Opensource or Middleware product suites
·Understanding of Maven or Graddle based configuration management systems, GIThUB/GITLab source code repository, Hudson and Jenkins build pipleline, Sonar Cube and Sonar Lint for static code analysis, Nexus and JFrog Artifactory for binary repositories.
·Apply knowledge of Docker Swarm, Rocket, PCF or Skytap
·Certified Architect in Middleware and or Databases.
·Red Hat Certified Specialist
·Experience in cloud infrastructure, network, security and operation architecture
