The Total Rewards Analyst will provide analytical support in the areas of compensation, benefits, and equity, and provide customer service to Pattern employees on all benefits and compensation programs. Will maintain a fair and consistent company-wide pay for performance structure and methodology based on market compensation data, compile, analyze, disseminate compensation survey information, define job grades and pay ranges, support data requests for the annual compensation review process, review submission of job classifications, and maintain database of position description information. Benefits analysis and monthly reporting/usage statistics are gathered. Budget/accrual analytics to support Accounting/Finance will be compiled on a regular basis.

Duties and Key Accountabilities

The key responsibilities will include as a minimum the following:

  • Assisting Total Rewards Team in administering reward programs including employee benefits, compensation and equity.

  • Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of Pattern’s compensation and benefit programs, coverages and policies.

  • Analyze and track systems information to streamline and manage data flow for benefits, compensation and equity.

  • Participates in and uses published market compensation survey data to obtain and analyze market pay rates; ensures market match validations are accurate, compiles and submits data to multiple vendors, analyzes and summarizes results, reviews recommendations with HR Team for internal equity and to maintain market competitiveness, takes administrative steps to formalize recommendations.

  • Gathers and obtains compensation and financial data to conduct modeling, and to produce reports and key metrics that support analysis and decision making.

  • Conducts job evaluations for new and revised descriptions to evaluate and establish appropriate job title, grade, pay range, and FLSA classification. Maintain documentation of compensation justifications.

  • Harmonize with the HR team to conduct appropriate job evaluation, titling and leveling for positions. Maintain current job descriptions, archive old ones.

  • Ensures accuracy by reviewing data sets for trends or anomalies for compensation projects, including data for participation in salary surveys, wage scale reviews or job comparisons, both internally and externally.

  • Prepares scheduled and ad-hoc detailed and summary reports for senior management as needed.

  • Administers US LTIP program, and is backup resource for Equity Administrator.

  • Assists with budgeting of HR/WOE department's FTEs, accruals for Accounting/Finance, capital, and/or operations expenses and updating overall HR budget. Leads accrual analysis for salary and benefit expenses as needed by Accounting.

  • Proactively audits benefit enrollments/changes using HRIS data against payroll and performs reconciliations as required.

  • Maintains updated library of benefits and compensation materials on intranet/job software.

  • Keeps current on trends and market practices in order to recommend process improvements and support the overall compensation philosophy.

  • Documents new and updates existing processes and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Other special projects as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

Educational Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, a degree in a human resources/actuarial science/data analytics or business related area is highly preferred. At least 2 years of HR experience focused in data and employee programs/systems, with additional 3 years administrative work experience in an HR or professional office environment.

Technical Skills

Mastery of advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; must be able to use the Internet and other sources for effective research capabilities.

Strong aptitude in arithmetic, and ability to present and back up numerical data effectively when needed.
