TechSoup is launching a new model of working with corporate partners, by directly offering cloud products and solutions to nonprofits. This internship will be devoted to helping develop the tools and processes to operate this new global business model for TechSoup.
This is a paid position located in San Francisco, CA
The project is to work with the Courses team to define what metrics should be tracked to understand and evaluate program performance and impact, identify the data sets that will provide those metrics, and use PowerBI, a data visualization tool, to build a data visualization dashboard.
Duties and Responsibilities
Create a live impact visualization dashboard accessible to all members of the TS
Create a published, public dashboard showing how courses are being accessed by TS members around the world.
Provide an overview of the intern roles and responsibilities.
The intern will be responsible for driving the project to completion which includes setting
meetings with the business owners to understand:
- The metrics needed, identifying what data
Will provide us with those metrics
Confirm that the data is what is needed
Design an impact dashboard with the business owners
Publish the dashboard using actual data
Experience with or desire to learn Excel or Google Sheets extremely important.
Experience with classes that force you to think about experiments and outcomes and how you measure those outcomes.
Microsoft Office and/or Google Docs
Diplomacy and teamwork
Ability to track down subject matter experts (like professors) to get questions answered
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Interact in a professional manner with a wide variety of people
Any combination of education and experience providing the skill and knowledge for successful participation and learning in the internship would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
Must be actively and presently enrolled an accredited college or university at an
undergraduate or graduate level.
