Job Summary
Under some direction, uses knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience for prospecting, building and maintaining client relationships with both Index and Active Institutional clients at a global level – specifically covering portions of the Asian and European trading sessions. Consults with team members to develop trading strategies and deliver strong advisory and portfolio solutions to clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Trading coverage of Portfolio Trading client base
Builds external and internal client relationships
Contribute to the execution strategy and portfolio solutions for clients
Handle pre-, live, and post-transaction cost analysis (TCA)
Consult and coordinate with clients on portfolio characteristics such as risk tolerance, benchmark, constraints, timeframe, impact cost eliminate, dollar and/or sector neutrality
Analyze client performance against various or designated benchmarks
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of
Trading strategies and market characteristics within assigned securities type or sector
Understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures of Agency Trading
Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations
Global financial markets and products
Company’s working structure, policies, mission, and strategies
Skill in
Strong math and analytic skills which are sufficient for quantitative analysis
Marketing skills and sales ability
Using technical/professional knowledge to understand client’s commitment to ideas, services and products
Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets
Ability to
Read, interpret, analyze and apply information from industry data
Organize and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with critical deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all organization levels
Attend to detail while maintaining big picture orientation
Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Project a positive, professional image both internal and with external business contacts
Convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Finance, Accounting or Business and a minimum of (3) three to (5) five years of experience in the Agency Trading area of the financial services industry
Licenses/Certifications
SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied
FINRA Series 7, Series 57 and Series 63 license (Will accept series 55 or 56 if obtained prior to October 1, 2018)
