Shea Labagh Dobberstein Full-Charge Bookkeeper/Small Business Accountant in San Francisco, California

Shea Labagh Dobberstein’s CORRE ACCOUNTING SOLUTIONS seeks an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper/Small Business Accountant to manage the books for a collection of small businesses and family offices, providing superior client service along the way. SLD’s CORRE Accountants provide year-round accounting services: Collecting, Organizing, Recording, Reporting, and Evaluating our clients’ financial data. Come join our growing team!

Job Functions

  • AP: Vendor management, including entering and coding vendor payables

  • AR: Create and deliver client invoices and assist with collections

  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly

  • Assist with payroll processing as needed

  • Assist with month-end close processes and reconciling all balance sheet accounts

  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements for Manager review

  • Seek out opportunities to reduce manual entries and increase efficiency

  • Proactively anticipate clients’ needs and propose solutions to current or future challenges


Candidate Must Have

  • Excellent understanding of all the general ledger accounts and ability to identify errors

  • Previous work experience closing the books monthly and generating month-end financials

  • Experience creating and updating monthly schedules as needed

  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Professional presence and an interest in developing relationships with the clients we serve

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple clients and deadlines

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Accounting degree or certification

  • QuickBooks and experience/certification highly preferred

  • Experience with Sales & Use tax filings

  • Expensify experience or certification

  • Payroll software experience or certification

  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, v-lookups, data extracts, etc.)

  • Yardi experience
