Visa Director, Global Marketing Technology Capabilities in San Francisco, California
The Director of Marketing Technology Capabilities will be responsible for partnering across senior executive levels to craft the vision of Visa’s cutting-edge marketing technologies. Additionally, you’ll partner with our technology/engineering organization to build up capabilities using Visa first-party data, Client first-party data, machine learning/AI to fuel scalable data-driven/people-based marketing. Finally, you’ll work with business leaders and marketers around the globe to bring these technologies to market.
You will be an important part of the Global Marketing Capabilities Organization. The Global Marketing Capabilities organization partners across Visa to provide best in class solutions in Agency Management, Global Media, Digital/ Programmatic, Data-Driven Marketing, and Marketing Technology, Systems and Operations.
In this role, you will oversee the product definition, feature requirements, and go to market strategy for Marketing Technology products that are sold to Visa clients like Issuers and Merchants. You will also partner across a range of Visa marketing teams around the world to increase adoption of Visa marketing tech capabilities for Visa marketing initiatives.
You will liaise and collaborate with regional Marketing Leads and other platform stakeholders including Offers & Loyalty, Campaign Solutions, Data Products, Consulting & Analytics. You will partner with the Marketing Technology business leaders to develop the go-to-market strategy, design benefits messaging, collaborate on sales materials, and design pilot programs with marketers and clients.
You will be responsible for working with regional and local market teams to gather product requirements and use cases that will define and guide platform development by Technical Product Managers and Developers. You will ensure the platform meets enterprise-wide needs to support Visa’s strategic platform goals and help drive prioritization across partners.
This role will also ensure requirements and use cases comply with privacy and legal policies and regulations. The role offers visibility across Visa’s global marketing organization and is a key resource in driving marketing success through the implementation, execution, and adoption of the marketing platform.
You will create product requirements for the Visa marketing technologies on behalf of specific Marketing use cases
Manage product and engineering roadmap and priorities in partnership with Technical Product Managers and scrum teams
You will drive highly connected and fully integrated relationship with technology teams
Partner with business owners to productize offerings, develop go-to-market- strategies, and build product marketing messaging and materials.
You will collaborate with internal Marketing leads and business owners to pitch Visa tech solutions and advocate for adoption
Communicate frequently with regions and local markets to develop pilots and use cases behind technology. Some domestic and international travel required.
You will build business cases and evidence of impact behind new uses of data and technology
You will partner with ad tech and programmatic teams to ensure local agencies have access to segments and measurement tools from the platform
10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD)
5 or more years of demonstrated experience working with technology products
12-15 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
You have 6+ years of demonstrated experience in working with technology products that are sold to enterprise clients
Experience working with financial institutions or card networks is highly desirable
2+ years of Product Marketing or Management experience and have the ability to translate needs of marketers into technical requirements for product development
Agile Project Management experience/certification is preferred
Experience with integrated marketing channels across email marketing, CRM marketing, digital, programmatic and social media advertising, and SMS
Experience with Digital Media and Ad Operations is preferred.
Hands on experience with DMPs, CDPs, and all facets of Google Marketing Platform is a plus.
Working knowledge of audience and segment management within complex data environments and customer data platforms and how data is connected across systems
You have the ability to define requirements for marketing measurement frameworks that are built on top of multiple analytics tools and technologies
Well-versed in modern digital marketing practices and ability to assess and evaluate marketing technology capabilities
Experience leading through influence, leveraging strong relationships with global leaders, stakeholders, clients, and partners, both face-to-face and virtually
Outstanding communication skills able to translate strategies, policies, and standards into a scalable, understandable format and articulate the value of work to the business
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment with great attention to detail
You have strong problem-solving skills and ability to observe and translate operational challenges into strategic, actionable objectives
Proven team player, highly adaptable to new opportunities, and able to learn complex topics quickly
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment (phones and computers), reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds
The incumbent may be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 15-20%.
