Expeditors Pricing Analyst in San Diego, California

In this position you are responsible for setting up pricing for airfreight and road freight shipments requested by sales, product and / or direct requests from customers. Pricing requests are including: Ad-hoc pricing, long term pricing as well customer bid RFQ rating.

General Responsibilities:

  • Market knowledge

  • Identify sales leads

  • Providing support, first class customer service

  • Support sales & operation with bids, quotes and follow up on proposals timely.

  • Maintain Expeditors Brand Identity integrity for all out-going documents.

  • Perform all task that are been delegated by the supervisor or manager.

RFQ’s:

  • Meet deadlines set by customers and sales/product on responding to pricing requests.

Pricing:

  • Ensure that all incoming requests are been handled within the expected timeframes set within the team.

  • Make sure that all requests are been entered into the quoting database.

  • Review feedback from sales/customers on rate competitiveness and distribute feedback to sales/product.

  • Follow on all quotes for acceptance, or feedback otherwise.

  • Ensure quoting tool is updated with feedback.

  • Ensure all approved proposals are shared with the respective product departments.

Personal development:

  • Meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee.

  • Attend training classes when required.

  • Complete mandatory training when required.

  • Operational background.

  • Ability to execute task/job functions with limited oversight and direction.

  • Understanding of sales & marketing is a plus.

  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.

  • Strong geographical knowledge.

  • Must be fluent both written and verbally in English.

  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word).

  • Pro-active, strong organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
