What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of FP&A experience or equivalent tenure from related positions in corporate finance, accounting, investment banking, private equity, or analytics

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships of trust & influence

  • Strong modeling & analytics, demonstrated business acumen, and great problem solving skills

  • Strong Accounting knowledge especially in real estate & lease accounting, project capitalization, depreciation, amortization and balance sheet

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze complex business scenarios by building/improving financial models. Tableau, Qlikview and Hyperion Essbase experience preferred

  • Ability to present complex financial analyses clearly and concisely

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to partner with all levels of the organization, influence stakeholders using data and collaborate in an inclusive culture

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and financial modeling skills

  • Grace under pressure with a good sense of humor and dose of humility

  • Ability to work independently, deal with ambiguity, operate in a cross-functional matrixed organization, and meet deadlines in a high-growth environment focused on driving business results

  • Proven track record of proactivity, creative & independent thinking, and as well as a pragmatic drive for result

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management, or equivalent work experience; MBA/CPA preferred

How you will lead

  • Lead forecasting, 1 and 3-year strategic planning, financial reporting and management for the overall Places Organization

  • Thoughtfully lay out dashboards and reporting to drive executive insights and decision making in support of our strategic and financial plans

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic initiatives to deliver awesome results to senior leaders and the broader finance teams

  • Spearhead regular evaluation and review of our investments on behalf of the Chief People & Places Officer

  • Help the Chief People & Places Officer and her staff lead change through our people by driving greater transparency, discipline, and data-driven mindset throughout the organization

  • Be the finance partner and voice of finance to key Places leaders across Security, Real Estate, Construction and Workplace Services

  • Help guide the client teams’ operating mechanisms and execute against their priorities, proactively influencing the thinking of leaders

  • Translate complex and ambiguous business problems (e.g. strategic analysis, M&A, new business initiatives, long term headcount planning) to simple analytical frameworks using advanced financial methodologies and leveraging strong presentation/communication skills

  • Design and help lead strategic initiatives & business cases for reviews with Chief People & Places Officer and Sr. Management. These projects will often cross multiple business units and groups

  • Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement by streamlining, standardizing and automating processes and reporting requirements

  • Operate in a leader capacity, proactively influencing, leading & coaching within the Finance organization and cross-functional teams
