The System Hardware/Installation Tech. You are eager to learn about technology’s role in a real-world setting. You are passionate about technology and know its potential. Computer assembly and configurations.
Rack layout construction and wiring.
On-site installation support at various operation centers world-wide.
Assist with testing and configuration of equipment
Complete system monitoring in support of operational requirements.
Conduct installation of hardware bios updates, troubleshoot and repair monitoring.
Provide training to local operations personnel as required.
Assist with lab based hardware installation including rack mounting servers, cabling, and other networking components.
Travel is required, including both domestic and foreign; on-site support for up to 30 days may be required.
Here's what you need:
- Associate Degree in Computer Science, information technology or two years work experience with hardware tech support in lieu of a degree
- US Citizenship required; dual citizens not eligible
Bonus points if:
You have experience with HP (or equivalent) enterprise level servers.
You have experience with maintaining router/switch and other firewall devices.
You have experience with system trouble-shooting and performance issues.
You have prior US Military experience.
