SUMMARY: Are you a motivated and goal-oriented self-starter looking for an exciting career opportunity where you can make a difference? As a Damage Investigator at UtiliQuest, you will work to improve the quality in the assigned area by identifying and addressing field quality deficiencies resulting in fewer damages, objectively investigate utility damages and communicate findings to management. This is an entry level position with a great company that can lead to an amazing and fulfilling career path as a higher-level technician, lead technician, and even into supervisory and management positions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Select audits by working with operations supervisors, managers, and Field Check partners to identify at-risk technicians and prevent potential damages.
Perform field audits for accuracy of marks and compliance with applicable state laws, regulations, and contractual obligations per clients.
Conduct root cause analysis on quality failures.
Complete all applicable forms and documents required for the auditing and investigation processes.
Communicate audits and investigation findings with quality assurance and operations management.
Correct field risk findings and coach/mentor technicians.
Perform quality assurance ride-along with field technician upon Operations Manager request.
Provide frequent and ongoing feedback to Field Check partner to improve quality results and reduce damages.
Effectively communicate investigation findings both verbally and in written format.
Provide witness testimony in small claims and litigated cases when necessary.
Effectively balance various job responsibilities while meeting daily productivity/efficiency standards, and completion deadlines.
Prior computer experience including Excel, Word, and Google Docs.
Ability to speak in group settings.
Demonstrate ability to appropriately manage conflict.
Ability to work in loosely defined territories with little supervision, and travel to areas other than their local territory.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
