JMS Senior Living Maintenance Assistant in Saint Peters, Missouri

DescriptionPosition Summary:iAccepts and completes assignments as directed by the Environmental Services Director.Essential FunctionsAssists with the regular maintenance of all facilities on the property, outside grounds, landscaping, driveway and parking areas year-round to present a safe, clean, and attractive environment.Works with outside contractors and vendors, as directed.Assists with the inspection of all systems including HVAC, plumbing (including monitoring water temperatures), electrical, and mechanical as required by local, state and federal laws.Monitors, as directed, the working operation of sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, interior and exterior lighting, door locks and coded entries, and safety shower/eyewash stations.Orders and inventories maintenance supplies as directed.Assists in the maintenance, repairs and preventive upkeep of all equipment.Assists director in ensuring all vehicles used for transporting residents comply with all local, state and federal laws and regulations and are in safe operating condition at all times.Complies with the companyis employee safety prevention and accident reporting program.Participates in conducting fire drills and other safety drills.Attends all required training and meetings.Attends all required in-services as directed by the Administrator.Takes part in employee orientation as directed.Cooperates and problem-solves with other departments and staff, residents, families, vendors, and others to support the residentsi needs.Timely response and follow through on all communications.Protects the confidential nature of resident information and adheres to resident rights.Follows all company policies and procedures.Works extra hours when necessary and performs duties of other positions as needed.This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
