The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is looking to hire a Medical Assistant or LPN for our Career Development Track for our outpatient clinics !

We are currently accepting applications for new graduates and experienced candidates!

About this Position: This is an individualized hiring program based on new hire and primary care clinics' needs. New hires will be oriented based on experience level with an experienced MA or LPN from the clinical float pool. After training, new hires will rotate to clinics that have current openings that fits the new hire's interest and preferred location with the goal of being permanently placed in a clinic within 6 - 8 weeks.

As a Medical Assistant or LPN you will work in a team environment to promote a positive experience in patient care with compassion and kindness. You will support and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team in providing an excellent patient experience by efficiently meeting the patient's needs. You will support efficient clinic flow and communicate accurately and positively with team members.

Medical Assistant

Education Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or enrolled in an Associate Degree Medical Assistant Program and are eligible to take an approved credentialing exam (listed below), or have obtained credentialing from the Trinity approved list below plus one year of experience prior to hire.

License/Certification Requirements:

  • MA certification from one of the following required within 90 days of hire date:

  • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

  • American Medical Technologists (RMA)

  • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)

  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required

General Requirements:

  • Previous clinical experience preferred.

  • Customer service-oriented attitude/behavior.


License/Certification Requirement:

  • Licensed in State of Idaho or Oregon, based upon practice site, as an Practical Nurse (LPN) and as defined by the State Board of Nursing.

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

General Requirement:

  • Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
