The Strategic Partner Director will play a vital role in the organization by helping to accelerate, manage, and enable revenue growth with a defined set of global strategic partners including industry-leading consulting organizations and managed service providers.
This is a senior role within Proofpoint’s global strategic partners team, requiring interaction and coordination with senior leadership across Proofpoint and external partner organizations.
This individual will own the launch, organizational alignment and sales enablement between Proofpoint and the strategic partner and will own global responsibility for meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
The role can be based anywhere in North America and will require some domestic and international travel.
You will need to leverage existing relationships and/or develop new relationships and business plans to drive all aspects of the partnership including: partner on-boarding and enablement, solution development, business development, go-to-market plans/programs, co-marketing, and executive sponsorship.
Define the business plan and identify criteria for long-term multi-year success with each partner.
Create/repurpose and present recommendations, status updates and resource requirements to internal and external executive teams.
Present and promote Proofpoint’s value proposition and capabilities that enables the partner to build a profitable practice based on Proofpoint solutions
Support joint sales pursuit activities, develop new business pipeline, and execute together to drive revenue
Build and maintain reporting and dashboards detailing performance against KPIs
Lead quarterly business reviews with senior management
What you bring to the team
Deep understanding and experience with global systems integrator and/or strategic consulting organizations and operating models
Recent experience with global strategic consulting firms (such as Booz Allen, Deloitte, E&Y, PWC, KPMG, Accenture, etc), and enterprise Software-as-Service and/or cloud-based solutions. Cybersecurity experience is not required but would be helpful. Managed Services expertise and knowledge would also be helpful.
Proven track record of building/developing strategic partnerships. Passion and commitment to partners’ success
Experience building out high value service offerings and working with partners to structure a consulting practice
History of exceeding performance and revenue objectives
Ability to move seamlessly between high-level strategic thinking and tactical execution
Superior relationship building skills across internal and partner stakeholders
Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills and the ability and curiosity to quickly master complex systems and topics.
Team player willingness to engage and foster collaboration with Proofpoint team members
Executive communication and presentation skills
BA/BS degree, with MBA or advanced degree preferred
Experience and comfort level with fast paced, high growth company
