Citigroup FP & A Sr. Analyst in São Paulo, Brazil
The Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of Citi’s financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to utilize in-depth disciplinary knowledge to generate and analyze reports as well as contribute to the development of new techniques to improve processes and work-flow.
Develop/Coordinate the preparation of financial outlooks, revenue bridges and variance analysis
Participate in annual budget CCAR PPNR forecasts, 3-year strategic and operating plans and monthly estimate outlook process
Monitor performance including variance analysis, comparisons against Plan and prior periods, market share, share of wallet and competitor analysis
Collaborate with internal customers and across FP&A teams to develop analysis and provide insights that improve business decision making, performance, growth and returns
Challenge the business with a critical view and propose actions to improve results
Partner with analytical center and controllers team on monthly closing process, identifying issues, opportunities and present results to the business
Develop analytics and reports leveraging on FP&A tools (ex: Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, MicroStrategy)
Consolidate results of the business, prepare FP&A Slides for ALCO (Assets & Liabilities Committee)
Prepare monthly presentations and analysis to support Sr leadership on local and regional monthly reviews
Address strategic issues on an ad hoc basis that are complementary to the regular planning and analysis processes
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
4-8 years of experience working with a variety of financial platforms
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated presentation skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English mandatory, Spanish desirable)
Result driven, open personality with a pro-active attitude
Excellent numerical and Excel skills
Proven experience in identifying key metrics, developing reports and analytical views
Collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills
Ability to build relationships and influence people
Enthusiastic hands-on and can-do mentality
Prior experience in FP&A is a plus
Prior knowledge of Digital tools (Knime, Power BI, Python, etc) is a big plus
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance or Engineering.
