Cisco Security Technologies Program/Project Manager in RTP, North Carolina

Program manager responsible for the overall leadership, planning, coordination, control, and completion of selected Foundational Security Technologies Initiatives, such as technologies like Common Security Modules (Cryptography Modules), Image Signing (Technology, solutions, and policy), and Cloud Hardening.

Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery by delivering on solution and feature requirements. while maintaining and initiating deployment and engagements with internal development teams and leadership.

Ensures accurate Scope and Change Management processes are adhered to, leads change management handling between development teams and across organizations

Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work, and mentoring and developing team members

Drive accurate data and engagement tracking, and reporting on project status, delivery, and plan versus actual.

Foster a culture of succeeding/fail fast were lessons learned and standard methodologies are captured and shared. Collaborating with peers around best practice and continuous process improvement.

Promote empowerment of the team across the levels of the organization, ensure that team members are fully engaged in the project, and making a meaningful and valuable contribution, at a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team

Communicates effectively with Executives across multiple organizations and stakeholders(s) to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.

Identify further growth and roadmap opportunities working closely with Product Owners, development, and management teams.

Key responsibilities * Prepare a Project/Program Commits * Support and lead the team on Collecting Requirements and Document them * Build and define the work/tasks breakdown to document and refine scope * Develop a high-level project commit milestones schedule * Prepare, lead and help maintain Product Backlogs and practice good housekeeping techniques as necessary * Support the definition of releases * Identify and manage the project stakeholders and key engagement team * Gather Stakeholders Communications Requirements and combine a Communications Plan * Manage Risks * Create an Action Log, gather and track Project Action Items * Supervise the Project Execution * Lead the team meeting, agile ceremonies (Run Sprints Planning, Reviews/Demos and Retrospectives) and document the results/actions * Issue periodic status reports * Manage the project team as needed, as a team leader * Identify and Track Project Issues until their resolution

Key Qualifications * 6+ years of experience in Project Management * Agile certification (e.g. CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP) or PMP Certification mandatory * Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field * At a minimum key understanding of the following technology areas, Common Security Modules (Cryptography Modules), Image Signing (Technology, solutions, and policy), and Cloud Hardening * Ability to understand, discuss/communicate technical concepts, with both technical and non-technical individuals * Proven track record in delivering complex projects, while project managing using both agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, Xtreme programming) and waterfall frameworks * Able to communicate well with cross-functional team members, be able to efficiently collaborate with and influence team members to achieve project goals * Must have strong coordination and facilitation skills and be willing to work with geo-distributed teams * Ability to deal with ambiguity and change * Attention to detail and ability to execute against multiple tight timelines * Strong listening and communication skills * Demonstrated, take-charge attitude * Self-motivated * Enjoys working in a fast-paced, changing environment * Flexible and resilient, comfortable giving and receiving real-time feedback * Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, JIRA
