Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of a manager and/or supervisor performs specified revenue cycle business functions in the clinical departments including: makes determinations for patient scheduling, registration, charge entry, cashiering and other various assigned clerical tasks. Participates as a collaborating member of the patient care team.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of medical terminology course or work experience demonstrating knowledge and use of medical terminology preferred.

  • 1 year of experience in health care with emphasis in 1 or more of the following: registration, billing, insurance, collections, scheduling or customer service preferred.

  • Familiarity with CPT/ICD10 preferred.

  • Data entry/clerical skills required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have good manual dexterity to operate keyboard and telephone; repetitive finger/wrist movement associated with use of keyboard; prolonged sitting. The employee must be able to lift or move office related objects.
