Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of a manager and/or supervisor performs specified revenue cycle business functions in the clinical departments including: makes determinations for patient scheduling, registration, charge entry, cashiering and other various assigned clerical tasks. Participates as a collaborating member of the patient care team.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
Completion of medical terminology course or work experience demonstrating knowledge and use of medical terminology preferred.
1 year of experience in health care with emphasis in 1 or more of the following: registration, billing, insurance, collections, scheduling or customer service preferred.
Familiarity with CPT/ICD10 preferred.
Data entry/clerical skills required.
