Role Overview This position owns the execution of long-term Supplier Quality Assurance strategy and operational direction. Will lead multiple teams, directing Supplier Quality Assurance for an organization of significant size. Sets strategies and develops projects and processes to ensure continuous supplier quality improvement. Provides guidance and leadership across the organization in the implementation of plans and procedures that drive achievement of supplier quality goals.

This individual will sit onsite in either Rockford, IL or Windsor Locks, CT.

Primary Responsibilities: • Establishes and implements long-term quality strategy, including plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets. • Leads development of organization projects and processes to ensure overall supplier quality is continuously improving. • Oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes. • Leads teams collecting and analyzing quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategy and programs. • Develops and implements program supplier quality plans and procedures.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 12 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required.

Must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

Supplier Quality Experience

Prior Supplier Quality experience including AS9100D

Ability to manage a geographically diverse team

Ability to communicate at both working and executive levels

Prior team management experience
