Responsibilities Serve as a manager to develop, coordinate and facilitate Centralized Ammunition Management (CAM) for the Army and the joint agencies/activities supported by the Army. Advise flag officer level or their secretariat on ammunition matters. Evaluate the effectiveness of operation supervised in terms of mission accomplishment, quality and quantity of standards met. Direct, coordinate, and control planning for the expansion and revision of the Centralized Ammunition Management mission. Evaluate overall performance of subordinate managers, team leaders, and employees. Maintains and assists activities of subordinates in developing, documenting and instituting the processes needed to establish the Centralized Ammunition Management methodology throughout the ammunition community. Temporary promotions may be extended up to 5 years. At the manager's discretion this position may become permanent without further competition. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing the overall planning, analysis and implementation of operations management activities / programs; performance reporting and monitoring; identification and analysis of potential problem and development of recommended solutions for improving procedures, programs involving the distribution of ammunition to Army and/or Joint Services or Army Supported customers; analyze performance, policies and processes, to make recommendations and implement optimal command-wide industrial operations and/or logistics initiatives for an ammunition management program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementLeadershipPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. One year supervisory probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
