Job Location: Rochester, NY
Performs advanced troubleshooting of complex digital and RF fixtures, including dismantling, adjusting, repairing, calibrating, aligning, assembling, and operating according to engineering drawings, schematics, operating or repair manuals.
Assist in being the first line of defense in resolving daily test issues effecting troubleshoot or up flow test for manufacturing and operations.
Monitors station utilization and downtime and reports out to the TE Senior Management.
Assists manufacturing technicians by answering questions and providing training on test systems and troubleshooting tools.
Create/Update station documentation items such as MTP’s, Station BOM’s, AMR’s, and TSW’s.
Develop, debug, optimize test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand.
Performs engineering RF/analog/digital design and measurement tasks as well as operational tests and fault isolation on radio systems.
Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio equipment performance.
Provide feedback to engineering teams on design and strategy of test processes and systems.
Prioritize and delegate tasks to other team members when appropriate and review of work products.
Support operational metrics such as Cost of Poor Quality, Product Yield, Mistake Proofing Ratio, and Quality Assurance escapes.
Partake in cross-functional discussions with operations management and manufacturing support teams to discuss test strategies and priorities in supporting operational objectives
Responsible for providing guidance/coaching/training to engineering technicians
- Associates Degree in Electronics with 8+ years electronics experience direct technical experience in digital, analog and RF circuitry.
Understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes technical standards and equipment.
Understanding of Harris RF New and Legacy products
Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters
Understanding of software defined radio products and communications
Minimum of 2 years of experience reading schematics and troubleshooting to component level
NI LabVIEW/TestStand development experience (CLAD or CLD certification)
