Acara Solutions Dark Room Technician in Rochester, New York

Acara Solutions is currently recruiting for a Dark Room Macro Technician for a client located in Rochester, NY.

The role of the Macro Technician is to create and produce all standard and custom products assigned to the Macro Department. To utilize and maintain equipment within the department in a state of production readiness in order to meet customer requirements for image quality and delivery.

Essential Functions:
Review work orders to understand job requirements
Develop and document standard operating procedures and work instructions for production operations as needed or directed by the Macro Production Manager
Read and understand manufacturing drawings, specs and tolerances
Be familiar with geometric tolerancing
Be familiar with materials and chemistries used in the department
Must understand and comply with the quality objectives of the department and company
Implement and enforce quality control, tracking, process improvement and corrective action procedures to meet quality and business objectives
Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
Competencies:
Must be detail oriented and meticulous
Must work well in a team environment
Must maintain a clean, neat work environment
Well organized and productive

Required Skills / Qualifications:
High School Diploma is required
1 year of experience in manufacturing industry
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
Ability to use Microsoft Office products
Preferred Skills:
1 year of experience using dark room chemicals and measuring devices
1 year of microscope measurement
