AECOM is seeking a Project Information Specialist I to be based in Roanoke, VA.

AECOM is seeking a Project Information Specialist to join our Roanoke, Virginia office. The Project Information Specialist to work closely with project managers, architects, engineers and document specialists to prepare specifications for our projects in the design phase. Specifications, or “specs” for short, are documents that detail a project’s materials and equipment, methods of construction and installation, and quality of workmanship. Specs are provided to the client and contractor and are used in conjunction with architectural and engineering drawings and the design narrative document.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing and editing specifications per AECOM’s established procedures using SpecsIntact, MasterSpec or other client-furnished documents and systems
Coordinating the workflow, scheduling and preparation of specifications
Supervising others assigned to edit and prepare specifications
Collaborating with project teams to ensure that specifications are prepared and delivered in accordance with project schedules
Preparing final specifications documents for print and digital submission to clients
Maintaining internal/external quality standards for specifications documents
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business or related field.
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
Ability to obtain a DoD clearance
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Conscientious, team-oriented and flexible: proven ability to work on multiple, concurrent projects and/or assignments
Able to prioritize tasks and respond to shifting deadlines and quick turnaround requests
Able to work collaboratively in a team setting and engage with all levels of organization/management
Able to perform effectively with oversight ranging from direct to moderate or even minimal
