What’s the role?

As a Portfolio Advisor, you will be part of Shell IT’s Connectivity Portfolio team and specific to the Edge Connectivity portfolio, where Shell locations need to be connected to provide access to the Internet and Shell internal applications. The mission is to support projects with design engineering capabilities under the renewed model.

You will play a key role in execution of the tasks within the end-to-end IT Service Portfolio Management process by supporting the Service Owner with planning and executing new service developments, service enhancements and service replacements. Services being covered are related to the Edge Connectivity portfolio, where Shell locations need to be connected to provide access to the Internet and Shell internal applications.

More specifically, your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Seek and analyze business demand to plan service life cycles;

  2. Work closely other product teams to integrate planning where dependencies exist;

  3. Maintain the service roadmap and underpinning planning;

  4. Support the Service Owner with analysis of information, creation of communication materials, collection of budget planning input and other items related service portfolio management.

What we need from you?

We’re keen to hear from experienced IT professionals who have a bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably related to Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications. Beyond that, we’d hope to see as many of the following as possible on your CV:

  • Substantial experience in IT Service Management or Portfolio Management specifically to the Connectivity area;

  • Solid technical knowledge and awareness of Telecommunications and Networking technologies;

  • Good understanding of the connectivity market, carriers, coverage, strengths and weaknesses, commercial structure, services being offered, etc.;

  • Proven track record in stakeholder holder and relationship management including external vendors;

  • Strong communication, and presentation skills.
