Maintenance Planner

Create planned work orders in SAP for tasks identified by either the maintenance trades, team leaders or Engineering department for equipment that is in need of repair or Special projects.

Responsibilities:

Create / Modify / Update Equipment Bill of Materials (BOMs) in SAP

Fully plan work orders, including internal operations, material purchases/requisitions, services, etc

Coordinate and organize with the maintenance and operations departments the preventive maintenance schedule of the machinery

Review breakdown data and determine strategic action plans

Distribute weekly Preventative Maintenance work orders (cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, inspections, small repairs, replace materials/parts)

Gather data and produce reports as required by Maintenance Operational Leader

Review planned and confirmed work orders and maintenance history recordings for accuracy

Review breakdown data and determine remedies needed to keep them from reoccurring

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

Review work order feedback from the trades and update maintenance plans, tasks, or timing as needed

Participate/Facilitate in scheduling and shift crossover meetings

Participate/Facilitate weekly team meetings where weekly KPI's, action item status, and maintenance performance is reviewed, and actions planned

Participate weekly scheduling meeting for long range planning

Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports as required

Generate and distribute work order back log report

Work with Stockroom Personnel to collect parts needed to complete work orders

Review work notification requests coming from various departments

Ensure compliance of proper safety, quality and environmental requirements in work

Education:

Bachelors

Experience:

Manager

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical field preferred

5 years of manufacturing experience in maintenance or operations

Two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience in plant maintenance and operations preferred

Demonstrated abilities in problem solving, and team building

Knowledge and experience of Total Production Maintenance (TPM) principles, and lean six-sigma tools preferred

Previous experience with SAP is preferred

Ability to set priorities, work independently, and coordinate multiple projects utilizing available resources

Knowledge of continuous improvement processes
