Webex Calling Engineering Program Manager

The Cisco Webex Calling group is transforming how people communicate globally and driving productivity to unprecedented levels through enhanced user experience and cloud-enabled workflows. We are seeking a highly technical program manager who has experience working with large customers and managing software development for cloud-based enterprise software.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to work closely with account teams and product development to deliver on features and product requests for large customers. This person will have expert level knowledge of the functionality being developed, and will be primary point of contact in the following areas:

  • Coordinating with development team leaders to gather the customer requirements

  • Providing customers with product delivery timelines and updates

  • Performing basic troubleshooting on problems and issues reported by customers, and working with engineering teams to resolve the issues

  • Providing customers with incident root cause analyses, status updates on product defects and enhancement requests

  • Performing product demos of new functionality to customers

  • Working directly with Cisco Technical Support on customer reported issues

  • Being the single point of contact for all stakeholders on the status of all features and requests pertaining to the customer

Additionally, this person will be part of an Engineering Program Management team that is responsible for:

  • Establishing workflows in Webex Calling Product Development for delivering features from inception to release in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines

  • Establishing processes for user feedback to flow into the development pipeline, and managing the forums for addressing this input

  • Driving program level metrics for monitoring key aspects of our product and development programs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience as technical program, software development or product manager for efforts comprising of multiple teams – responsible for delivering cloud-based enterprise grade software products

  • Experience working with large customers and addressing their needs and concerns

  • Experience in running global programs by collaborating with cross-functional teams

  • Proven record of driving effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities

  • Well versed in software development methodologies and processes

  • Experience with metrics, analytics, reporting and visualization tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Tableau, Amplitude

  • Well versed and comfortable with source code management, requirements tracking and defect management tools such as Github and JIRA

  • Expert in presenting information in effective formats, tailored to audience

  • Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
