Who You'll Work With
The Data Center Routing and Switching team provides third level technical support on a global basis via phone, email, web, and remote access for Data Center products to Cisco customers, partners, and other TAC teams. In this role you will gain insight on the detailed functionality of Cisco Nexus products and partner with all distributed elements of engineering and the service chain. You will demonstrate an aptitude and appetite for learning complex network technologies in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Who You Are
Role & Responsibilities
You are able to provide level 3 technical support for Cisco Nexus Switching products
You can analyze, configure, and troubleshoot layer-2 / layer-3 Data Center networks
You are to build moderate-to-complex lab setups to duplicate and resolve customer problems
You can develop and deliver technical training's partners and other HTTS & TAC teams
You are able to work with software engineering to improve product quality by filing software defects and testing fixes
Bachelors degree or 5+ years related experience
You have working knowledge of layer 2 / layer 3 protocols and technologies, including:
Routing Protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP, IS-IS)
SPAN / RSPAN
You have experience troubleshooting network or application performance issues
You have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus Switches (Nexus 9000, 7000, 6000, 5000, 3000)
Hands on experience using network sniffers and troubleshooting tools such as traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent, Colasoft),
Customer Support experience is helpful
Cisco Certifications: CCIE, CCNP
