Lead Drainage Engineer – Transportation Infrastructure

We are looking for a Drainage Design Build Senior Manager who can lead and build up this practice for Parsons . In this role, you will develop a team of professionals overseeing drainage and hydrology components of large-scale transportation projects primarily in Texas, but also in other locations if needed. We have a great history of success with the TxDOT , experience delivering billion-dollar Design Build projects and a stable project backlog.
In this role, you will act as the primary interface with internal design teams and take the lead for all Drainage/Hydrology aspects of major Transportation projects primarily with our Design Build contractor clients and our JV partners focused on projects in Texas.
You will be a key member of our Road/Highway Practice to assist in executing these projects across the state and will help in growing our Drainage practice.
Projects may include hydrologic analysis, inlet design, storm sewer design, ditch and channel design, cross drain design, retention/detention basin design, water quality analysis, adequate outfall design and design of on and off-site drainage facilities.
As a leader, you must be able to demonstrate excellent design expertise in these areas, as well as mentor and lead engineers in the preparation plan documents and reports, such as storm-water plans and permit applications for highway projects, drainage criteria documentation, drainage design reports, and pond siting reports.
You will be responsible for overseeing the civil design team’s technical deliverables and meeting project schedules from design through construction. Using your technical expertise, you will ensure the highest quality of engineering is put forth to meet all design criteria requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)12 years or more of related work experience in Drainage/Hydrology design, including supervisory/managerial experience of engineers, and designers.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
Experience directing work involving complex technical situations
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Experience with TxDOT clients is required .
Previous work experience on large design-build projects focused on drainage is desirable.
