Program Manager II for Secure Engineering Services

The Digital Security and Resilience (DSR) organization within Microsoft Digital (MSD) has a passion for enabling Microsoft users and businesses securely with the latest technology. The Security Engineering Services (SES) team within DSR gets to build large scale security solutions, with a talented group of people, and we are looking for a program manager to help us deliver the next generation of identity management tools and services in support of US Gov and Sovereign programs.
This program manager will be the glue between the problems our company and customers need solved, and the work our engineers do to solve those problems. We work with amazing partners, so you’ll need to love that kind of work and be proficient at creating and maintaining friendly and productive working relationships with other teams. Oh, and there are a ton of challenges that arise every day in this job. So, you’ll need to be able to help our team work closely with the teams you serve, reason about priorities, and create collaborative agreements about the ordering of work while maintaining good relationships. Since we’re a security team, we focus a good deal on security technologies so a background in security is a plus but it’s not a prerequisite. What’s super important is that you can show empathy for customers, be sensitive to their needs and are proficient at guiding teamwork to deliver a great security solution.

Drive project planning and delivery for multiple development and service projects.
Gather requirements from engineers and partners to assist in service and solution designs.
Evaluate project resourcing against requirements and partner priorities to deliver the best prioritization and delivery schedules.
Communicate project status to stakeholders and executive management.
The successful candudate must be a U.S. Citizen.
4+ years of work experience as a Program, Product or Solution Manager.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field or 4+ years of professional experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
-Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
-Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Experience in delivering security technology and identity management solutions.
Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and partners to prioritize and deliver highly resilient and scalable services.
Preferred locations:, Atlanta, Austin, Redmond, Reston + Remote in the U.S.
