We are looking for an experienced, motivated Marketing Project Manager in Alexandria, VA to help us create more visibility and excitement around the work of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty, one of the fastest-growing real estate brokerages in the region.

We’re looking for someone to help us manage an ambitious marketing and recruiting communications program. Help us develop and execute a thoughtful, measurable and impactful marketing communications plan that will enhance our corporate brand, support our industry marketing plans and entice top-performing real estate professionals to affiliate with us. We are looking for someone with a passion for storytelling aligned with business strategy to help make meaningful impact.

What else?

  • Work closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications to build and execute an effective marketing communications strategy and plans that includes content building, public relations, social media, advertising, awards and more

  • Be a message-machine and help us translate the work of the company and our sales professionals into memorable and emotionally relevant communications, content, marketing materials and assets

  • Roll up your sleeves and write. You’ll be responsible for drafting and editing all types of internal and external communications

  • Develop and manage a long-term, metrics-driven marketing communications program with powerful content designed to attract top-performing agents to affiliate with the company using marketing automation

  • Develop and execute change marketing communication and rollout plans that create buzz, excitement and adoption of new programs and services for our sales professionals

  • Partner with our incredible agents to raise awareness of the work we are doing

  • Help produce events and appearances

  • Track and analyze channel metrics to gauge what we can do better and continually refine approaches

  • Teach us something new! We know the best ideas often come from those with a fresh perspective, from people who are willing to look at things differently

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

We’re looking for someone with 3+ years of communications experience. Corporate, in-house or agency experience preferred, and if you’ve worked in the real estate, housing or mortgage industries, that’s a plus. You are detailed-oriented, an excellent writer and can communicate ideas creatively and concisely. You are outgoing and confident in representing our communications program to stakeholders and are comfortable working with clients and executives at the highest levels in the company.

  • You are detail-oriented and have excellent project management skills (you love working in Asana or similar project-management software)

  • You love looking at performance metrics to see how a campaign succeeded/failed

  • You have worked in a marketing communications capacity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • You are passionate about looking for new and creative ways to reach an audience

  • You’re a driven self-starter with positive outlook, flexible nature, and tenacious work style

  • You know your way around marketing automation platforms to help support channel management and measurement

  • You have excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills

  • You have a bachelor’s degree and strong record of academic performance

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.

Travel

Limited travel to various worksites is required.
