Siemens Functional Verification Consultant - Remote US in Reston, Virginia

Support the use of integrated circuit (IC) functional verification Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software technologies in the design and verification of complex application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) and field programmable gate array (FPGA) designs for the most advanced aerospace and defense companies. This position brings a highly technical role to SGT’s team, preferably based in Washington DC and Baltimore area, but not required. As a Functional Verification Consulting Engineer, you will be enabling some of our most important customers to be successful with their ASIC/FPGA designs. This position requires a strong confidence in Functional Verification and UVM methods using advanced verification software products. You will focus primarily on the US domestic aerospace and defense market including DoD and DoE organizations and supporting/adjacent Federal OEMs/Contractors.
BSEEor BSCS, or equivalent; MSEE preferred
7+years of experience in a design engineering role focusing on functionalverification and/or emulation
7+years of ASIC/FPGA verification experience using SystemVerilog / UVM
Musthave experience in:
SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA)
Coverage-drivenverification methodology from planning through closure
Objectoriented programming languages and concepts
Designingand implementing SystemVerilog / UVM test benches for constrained-randomverification
Developingfunctional coverage models
Writingand debugging directed and random test cases
Migratingdesigns into hardware emulation
Enablingtestbenches for hardware acceleration
Experiencewith automation/scripting (Perl, sed, awk, tcl/tk, sh) - C programmingdesirable. SystemC and C++ used in conjunction with chip design andverification highly desired
Knowledgeof industry standard signal interfaces is a plus
RTLdesign experience is a plus
FPGAexperience is a plus
Hardwareemulation experience is a plus
Deliverconsulting services covering a broad range of functional verification andemulation activities
Responsiblefor leading and executing consulting programs and working with customers toimplement and deploy advanced verification methodologies
Helpcustomers leverage the full capability of Mentor and other brand tools andtechnologies
Communicatecustomer technical requirements to product marketing
Travelwill be involved mainly within the US
- Must be a U.S. citizenand have the ability to obtain and maintain a federal government securityclearance.
