The Marketing Communications Manager position will create, implement and oversee both internal and external communication programs that effectively describe and promote Hamilton Robotics and its products. The MarCom manager will coordinate marketing communication activities for Robotic products to improve the coordination of marketing activities in order to gain market adoption of Hamilton Robotic instruments, devices, consumables and applications. Must perform a variety of tasks to execute marketing plans and promotions and participate in new product planning and coordination with Market and Product Managers, Standard Solutions and OEM teams. This role provides supervision and direction to staff and will take ownership of supporting the 4 P's (Product, Place, Promotion, Price) for the Robotics Group to support Product/Market Managers in launching products/applications into respective markets. Supports the OEM team and international dealers as needed to assist in their product sales and market promotion.


  • Manages and maintains the Hamilton Marcom Branding guidelines for all marketing collateral.

  • Reviews, edits and in some cases authors the marketing collateral that Product & Market Management creates to ensure professional, well-written, customer-focused written materials for Hamilton Robotic instruments, devices, consumables and applications.

  • Examples of written content includes brochures, white papers, tech notes, application notes, social media posts, etc.

  • As appropriate helps to identify appropriate trade shows for Robotic products and solutions.

  • As appropriate helps to identify appropriate contact lists for targeted campaigns for Robotic products and solutions.

  • Plans, organizes, and directs promotional activities from concept to completion including advertising, sales promotions of products, direct mail, direct e-mail, web marketing, sales collateral (flyers, brochures, etc.), product launches & co-marketing. Coordinates the Robotic Group's marketing activities by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action.

  • Helps to increase lead generation and fulfillment. In some instances, helps to qualify leads.

  • Ability to multi-task and complete special projects as assigned (i.e. Survey response prize fulfillment, etc.).

  • Develops and maintains the Hamilton Robotics marketing communications strategy and plan in collaboration with the Global Stakeholders (Hamilton-BZ, Distributors, Dealers, etc.).

  • Participates in the selection and manages the activities with selected marketing agencies.

  • Provides input to help manage marketing communications financial objectives by preparing and managing the portions of the annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions, prepares and analyzes and presents reports on a regular basis.

  • Maintains professional communications network with the Robotics Sales Team, Global and Local Product Managers, Hamilton Robotics Management & Global Marcom group.

  • Collects competitive information from shows and distributes to sales and product/marketing management in a concise and well-organized manner.

  • Plans, organizes, and directs PR activities from concept to completion including global and national press releases, attracting media attention, developing and publishing editorial content. Organizes press conferences and webinars if needed.

  • Assists in the development & distribution of various marketing materials, including but not limited to advertisements, booth graphics, posters, product brochures, application notes, product launch documents and Power Point shows.

  • Handles other essential tasks as assigned and responds to change productively.

Knowledge, skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent multitasking abilities, exceptional organizational and planning skills, and proven record in meeting deadlines.

  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude and the ability to handle multiple project simultaneously and shift priorities quickly.

  • Plan and execute trade show presentations, seminars, poster sessions, and workshops as a part of an overall marketing communications plan.

  • A strong working knowledge of computers and current trends in digital media / social media is required.

  • Superior project management and time management skills

  • Ability to build partnerships with cross-functional teams and facilitate interactions with upper management.

  • Phenomenal written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills with a proven track record in presenting to executives and other senior management.

  • Confident and self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business or related field. A minor or emphasis in writing (journalism, creative writing, etc.) is a major plus.

  • Should have at least 3 years of sales, marketing, or related product management experience, either in a technical capacity such as research and development or applications.

  • 3 plus years of marketing experience is strongly recommended.

  • Previous management experience is preferred.

  • Experience with capital scientific equipment is highly desired.
