Role Summary/Purpose

The EHS Professional I will contribute to development and maintenance of processes and procedures to promote employee and contractor involvement in relation to workplace EHS. The EHS Professional I will collect and analyze data from multiple sources to develop recommendations for the leadership team to ensure EHS compliance, decrease injury and illness rates, and increase productivity. The EHS Professional I will train employees on safety programs and maintain training systems to create NO HARM.

Essential Function

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of processes and procedures to promote employee and contractor involvement in relation to workplace EHS

  • Support the design and implementation of EHS training plans and arrange for new hire training

  • Conduct, implement, and monitor risk assessments and mitigating measures to reduce risk

  • Collect, report, and analyze training statistics for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as well as upon request

  • Ensure equipment and PPE aligns with EHS regulations at all times

  • Manage all country-specific EHS documentation to ensure it is up to date and properly stored

  • Process and coordinate medical payments and provide assistance to the Company Physician as needed

  • Issue and renew insurance certificates

  • Maintain EHS training records for all employees

  • Monitor the EHS training system, provide course updates when applicable, and troubleshoot technical problems with course content

  • Compile data for annual EHS survey reports

  • Coordinate occupational requirements for job sites, including but not limited to respirator fit testing, DOT physicals, and post-accident screenings

  • Input global EHS event data including but not limited to injuries, illnesses, audits, safety observations, near misses, vehicle accidents, and internal/external awards

  • Conduct data mining for EHS events and training and create reports during required time periods and/or as needed

  • Perform country-specific EHS duties and responsibilities in accordance with local laws

  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent; or four years related experience in lieu of degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

  • At least three years of experience in a similar position and an EHS Certificate are required

  • Must have strong project management abilities and an in-depth knowledge of local EHS laws

  • Local EHS certifications are preferred
