Vice President - Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
For our Global Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (“DE&I”), we are looking for a visionary, results driven individual and team player to serve as an advisor and change agent to lead the design and implementation of Iron Mountain’s DE&I employee experience and roadmap. Using a data driven approach, the Vice President will create positive change and employee experiences by providing both strategic and day-to-day operational leadership on all global diversity and inclusion policies, programs and practices for the organization.
The Vice President will act as a trusted partner to senior leaders and employee resource groups, and will work with them to enhance business performance in keeping with our cultural focus on DE&I. In this highly collaborative role, understanding the business goals and objectives and the interaction with the functional touch points will be critical in delivering the value of the DE&I function and will be essential in developing, driving and communicating a holistic DE&I strategy. In connection with Human Resources, this role will require attention to employee recruitment, onboarding and retention, pipeline development, internal and external communications and a focus on external community relationships as well partnerships with third parties to advance the DE&I objectives.
As a Vice President - Diversity, Equity & Inclusion you will be responsible for
Establishing a company positioning statement regarding Iron Mountain’s DE&I identity and aspirations
Acting as a trusted advisor and leader for Company Employee Resource Groups
Develop, manage, and foster a global inclusion and diversity Enterprise-level strategy with a roadmap and goals focusing on achieving measurable, sustainable results
Partnering with the business P&L leaders, global functional corporate support leaders and HR leadership to design and implement change initiatives that foster and enable a culture of inclusion that drives employee engagement
Embedding diversity and inclusion into all people and business processes, ensuring global alignment while tailoring for regional needs
Leveraging a suite of reporting and analytics to drive holistic and data-driven strategies
Developing an employee experience communications plan that engages our global workforce and reinforces our focus on being an employer of choice
Creating strong connections with the Company culture team and fostering strong support of DE&I through the culture agenda
Serving as an external voice for Iron Mountain on DE&I and connecting to best practices and networks on emerging DE&I initiatives
To be successful in this role you will have
Experience leading Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in a large global organization with a population that includes hourly and salaried employees
Leadership with a demonstrated ability to create and execute effective organizational strategies and transformations
A deep understanding and expertise of DE&I and knowledge of global trends
Demonstrated proficiency to engage, influence and work with an executive leadership team
Experience building strong relationships and driving change across global cross-functional teams
A willingness to learn and be highly adaptable
Strong communication skills
Worked through and driven decisions in ambiguous situations where delivery is the focus
Exceptional judgment and empathy when working with team members, employees at all levels and external stakeholders
History leading and developing successful teams
Expertise in using metrics to inform, influence and communicate a vision to a wide range of audiences
Attention to detail and quality, while working with a sense of urgency
