Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is looking for a Bus/Space Vehicle (SV) Manager is needed for multiple efforts, and is located in Redondo Beach, California

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Bus/SV Manager will lead Bus architecture definition, Bus resiliency capability trades, cross-sector collaboration and accommodation of various missions for the initial phases of the respective programs through delivery.

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary spacecraft engineering team thru requirements and architecture definition, production, AI&T, delivery of Bus to SV AI&T and manage SV AI&T

  • All Bus subsystems: ACS, EPS, FSW, CDHS, Propulsion, Thermal, Mechanism & Deployable, Mechanical and Electrical Design Integration, Structures, Dynamics

  • Manage multiple subcontractors work scope

  • Manage SV/Bus cost, technical and schedule baseline and oversee cross-sector spacecraft bus development

  • Primary customer interface regarding Space Vehicle/Bus architecture and trades

  • Partner with GSC to lead planning and procurement of long-lead parts/materials

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline from an accredited university with 7 years of space and/or defense industry experience

  • A proven ability to lead and influence a high performance team

  • Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances: • Dept of Defense Secret level with a background investigation date within 10 years • OR Dept of Energy L clearance with a background investigation date within 10 years • OR Dept of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years • OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years • OR Dept of Energy Q clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Engineering or a related STEM degree from an accredited university

  • PM&P Experience Preferred

  • Possess exceptional communication skills across all levels of the organization

  • Active SCI Clearance
